We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a keen understanding of culinary techniques. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals while ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are met. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menus. Assist in the planning and preparation of meals, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and of high quality. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items. Adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during meal service. Monitor stock levels of ingredients and report any shortages to management. Help train new kitchen staff in food preparation techniques and safety practices.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and meal presentation. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that delight customers. Culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not essential.

Pay: 12.21-13.00 per hour
