We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a cook. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in food preparation and cooking, who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of food safety and quality while contributing to the overall success of our culinary operations. The role is mainly weekend work but more hours in the week possibly for the right candidate.
Duties
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
Monitor inventory levels of kitchen supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
Provide exceptional service during meal times.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a kitchen environment is essential; restaurant experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is required.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
