We are a small, family-owned business looking to hire a part-time administrator to support an existing administration team and busy director.
The candidate will have some experience in administration and be proficient with computer skills. The office is deadline driven, necessitating a high degree of self-motivation and diligence.
Some customer service and reception cover will be required such as during staff leave which could result in extra hours.
You do not need to have worked in the funeral industry, but you will be confident in handling sensitive telephone calls and paperwork, and assisting families as needed.
Due to the size of the company we require the candidate to be very flexible and hands on. Remote working is not an option.
Primary responsibilities:
Coordinate and maintain office files and documents.
Scanning.
Banking.
Order and manage office equipment, supplies and resources.
Cover all administrative needs as required during staff leave.
Support the Director as needed (scheduling, coordinating with event sub-contractors, communicating with families).
Management of donations system.
Essential Criteria
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
Professional telephone manner
Excellent attention to detail

The package will include a competitive hourly rate, flexible hours and pension. This is currently a part-time role of 10 to 12 hours with the opportunity for increased hours at a later date.
