We're a tech-savvy, no-fuss accounting firm. We're after a reliable payroll subbie who can quietly get the job done - No drama, no chasing, no errors.
This is a flexible, remote role averaging 5 hours per week. Some weeks are lighter, others busier around month-end - But you'll manage your own time and ensure that client and statutory deadlines are met.
What you'll be doing:
Running weekly and monthly payrolls using
FreshPay
Pension administration, including submissions
Handling starters, leavers, pay changes and statutory pay (SSP, SMP, etc)
Ensuring CIS deductions are correct and submitted on time
Logging key info into our internal practice management system
Flagging any issues proactively - Accuracy matters
Responding to client queries
What we're after:
Solid UK payroll experience (freelance or practice)
Confident with
FreshPay
Knows the ropes with CIS, SSP, SMP, etc
Detail-focused, deadline-aware, and unflappable
Based in the UK with strong written English
Comfortable working independently and communicating clearly
