We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support our team across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for running the payroll and assisting with payroll related processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery, while working closely with relevant departments.

Down Hall Hotel have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our friendly Finance team. As our Payroll Administrator you will be the first point of call for all colleague and management enquiries and you will be responsible for the production of the monthly payroll, ensuring all data is processed accurately and within tight deadlines.

You will ideally have in depth knowledge of payroll and it would be great if you were part of a team that had implemented a new system, as we are currently doing this. Excellent organisation and communication skills are key, as well as being a flexible team player with a positive attitude.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and previous experience in payroll administration or a related role, preferably within hospitality or a similar fast-paced environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop payroll and administrative skills in a dynamic setting, contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Responsibilities



Previous experience within payroll administration or someone on a career path within finance and payroll;

Passionate about delivering exceptional administration support for our management team with keen attention to detail;

Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results to deadlines;

An enthusiastic team player with a positive mind set;

Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills;

Manage forecasted payroll and weekly time sheets;

Process monthly payroll on sage and submit in line with company deadlines to H.O.;

Update payroll reports for Casual holiday, NMW, Payroll Journals and Accrued hours;

Set up of starter's auto enrolment pension scheme where applicable;

Processing of statutory payments/deductions Including SSP, SMP & Attachment of Earnings;

Reconcile payroll to reports and & pension submission;

Issue payslips, P45's;

File on line EPS, FPS, and pension payments;

Accurate personal knowledge of legislation and best practices;

To assist the Financial Controller in preparing the month end reports;

To assist in other areas of the accounts office if the need arises and to cover absences and holidays;

To generally assist any of the other departments with queries or requests in a friendly and timely manner;

Ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Financial Controller.

Ability to commute/relocate:

Bishop's Stortford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
