A rapidly growing construction company is seeking a reliable and experienced
Part-Time Bookkeeper
to support the accounts director.
This role is for
two days per week
(Monday plus one other day by negotiation), with the potential for additional days as the business continues to grow. We offer a comfortable, friendly working environment located between Gillingham and Motcombe.
Key Responsibilities:
Processing supplier & subcontractor invoices and preparing payment schedules
General bookkeeping and bank reconciliations
Preparing financial reports and forecasts
Assisting with payroll & CIS returns
General administrative support as required
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
AAT Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
Proficiency in
Xero & Dext
accounting software
Recent experience working as a bookkeeper
Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
References from previous employers
Knowledge of the
Construction Industry Scheme (CIS)
would be beneficial as would understanding of retentions, awareness of reverse charge VAT and payroll knowledge.
