We are seeking a passionate Chef to join our Team at Yellow Brick Road Bracebridge Heath.
This is a part-time role (2 days per week) 1 day will be a full day in our fully equipped kitchen cooking for approximately 55 children, preparing and supplying healthy and nutritious meals for children aged 6 months to 12 years. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of food safety.
The second day would be from 9am-3pm and this would be for cleaning of the nursery, such as reception areas, toilets, stairways, etc.
You will also be required to cover annual leave for the Chefs at our Metheringham and Newark nurseries throughout the year.
In addition to this, we also host 2 nursery parties throughout the year for the children and families to attend. These will both be on a Saturday which you would be required to attend to provide food for the families and be involved in the party.
Duties
Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the Early Years nutritional guidance
Maintain food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations.
Manage food production processes, including inventory control and ordering supplies as needed.
Adjust meals to cater for allergies and dietary requirements
Maintain and update food safety records
Requirements
Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
