Job Title:
PA / Dance School Assistant
Role Summary:
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and proactive individual to join our dance school as a PA / Dance School Assistant. This role involves supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school, assisting with administration, reception, and general operational tasks. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for many of our students and parents, providing a welcoming and professional environment.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Administration & Communication
Respond promptly and professionally to emails and enquiries (parents, students, suppliers)
Help with general admin tasks (photocopying, filing, updating records)
Manage incoming messages via phone, email, and social media where appropriate
Maintain up-to-date records of enquiries, registrations, and attendance
Process and manage bookings for lessons and classes
Reception & Customer Service
Greet students, parents, and visitors on arrival
Manage class sign-in and sign-out processes
Handle payments, receipts, and basic cashing-up (if applicable)
General Housekeeping
Keep reception and waiting areas tidy and presentable
Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation in studios and communal spaces
Replenish supplies (water cups, tissues, cleaning products, etc.)
Operational Support
Prepare studios for classes (e.g., set up music, equipment)
Maintain stock levels of uniforms and merchandise, reporting shortages to management
Assist with event preparation (e.g., show programmes, ticketing, merchandise)
Working Hours & Pay:
Hours: 8-12 hours per week
Schedule: To be agreed in advance, may include evenings and weekends
Rate: In line with National Minimum Wage for age group
Requirements:
Aged 16+ (if under 18, role will comply with young worker regulations)
Confident with computers, email, and basic admin software
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Friendly and professional manner when dealing with parents, students, and visitors
Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
Willingness to assist with a range of tasks

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour
