We are seeking an organised, proactive, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a part-time secretary. This role combines traditional administrative duties with the exciting responsibility of coordinating two classical music concerts each year.
Key Responsibilities
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including letters and emails.
Maintain organised records and filing systems.
Draft, proofread, and format documents as needed.
Liaise with musicians, venues, and suppliers in preparation for classical music concerts.
Coordinate logistics for concerts, including booking venues, arranging schedules, and handling ticketing/guest lists.
Maintain contact lists and databases relevant to events and daily operations.
Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth running of day-to-day activities.
Requirements
Proven administrative or secretarial experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Proficiency with email, word processing, and basic spreadsheets.
An interest in classical music and the arts is highly desirable.
Flexibility to attend concerts and related events (twice yearly, occasional evenings/weekends).
