Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a vibrant restaurant environment. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional hospitality to our guests, ensuring they have a memorable dining experience. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of food service, from taking orders to assisting with food preparation, all while maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, providing recommendations and upselling menu items when appropriate. Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner, ensuring presentation meets our high standards. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety guidelines and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt service. Handle cash and process payments accurately, demonstrating basic maths skills for transactions. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and potential allergens, to assist guests effectively. Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout the dining experience, addressing any guest concerns promptly.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; a passion for culinary arts is highly valued. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours. Basic understanding of food safety practices and regulations is advantageous. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A proactive approach to upselling menu items and enhancing the overall guest experience. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
