Location:

Based in Dent, LA10 5TB, you will deliver across South Cumbria, North Lancashire & the Lake District

Hours:

18-22 per week (Friday to Sunday).

Typical pattern:

Full weekend availability preferred, however we will consider strong candidates who can work only one of the weekend days and still meet the role requirements.

Pay:

14-15 per hour (depending on experience)

As a Delivery Driver with Hardy's Events Ltd, you'll deliver, set up, and collect inflatables and party equipment for birthdays, weddings, school events and celebrations across South Cumbria, North Lancashire, and the Lake District. No two days are the same -- one minute you're setting up a bouncy castle in a village hall, the next you're arranging a selection of games for a Wedding on the shores of Lake Windermere.

You're not just delivering equipment -- you're helping families make memories.

An Example Weekend in This Role

Friday (Prep Day - at our Dent depot, LA10 5TB):

Spend 2-4 hours helping prepare equipment, loading vans and getting everything ready for delivery.

Saturday (Delivery Day - using a company van):

8:30am: Collect your van and route plan 3-4 deliveries and collections throughout the day Set up items such as bouncy castles, ball pools, disco domes, fun runs, soft play and games Friendly customer handovers -- show them how things work (like turning the Bluetooth music up!) Enjoy scenic lunch breaks overlooking the Lakes 6:30pm: Return to base to unload and reload

Sunday:

Start directly from home with the company van and complete 2-4 deliveries or collections before returning to base. You might even bring home a slice of birthday cake!

Every shift is different -- a mix of indoor village halls, private gardens, marquee weddings and community events.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver, set up and collect inflatables and event equipment according to our strict health and safety standards. Demonstrate equipment safely to customers (e.g., blowers, Bluetooth speakers, safety mats) Occasionally stay on-site to supervise equipment when required Load/unload vans and maintain equipment cleanliness Ensure safe manual handling practices Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional standards Work independently using route plans and schedules Complete paperwork and record delivery details accurately Represent Hardy's Events positively at all times

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

? Able to drive a van confidently (Full UK driving licence required)
? Physically capable (inflatable equipment can be heavy)
? Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
? Friendly, polite and customer-focused
? Comfortable working independently and following a route plan

Previous delivery or customer-service experience is a bonus but not essential. Full training provided.
