Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Monitor food stock levels, placing orders as necessary to ensure availability of ingredients. Uphold food safety regulations and standards, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment. Respond to customer feedback with professionalism, making adjustments to dishes as required.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary arts. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A creative flair for cooking, with an eye for presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
