We are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of client payroll processing . The ideal candidate will ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery for our clients and will be willing to work independently in a client facing role. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll systems, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.
Candidates must be able to work full time hours for the last 2 weeks of each month.
Duties
80 hours per month which must include full time hours for the last 2 weeks of each month. The role can be either working from home, office based or hybrid
Managing the end to end payroll process for approximately 23 clients
Answering client queries regarding payroll
Inputting payroll and overtime hours into Iris Payroll and QuickBooks
Managing weekly or monthly BACS payments to employees (depending on clients' requirements)
Updating of PAYE coding change notices
Collation and input of incentives/bonuses into payroll
Management of holiday, absence and sick pay and statutory sick pay calculations
Administering pension contributions, auto-enrolment and communications
Ensuring all Tax Year-End procedures are run including P60, P11D
Set up new employees and managing employee changes as required
Any other duties as required
Person Specification
Experience in a payroll position (ideally client facing) is essential
Working autonomously, able to problem solve and demonstrate operational and strategic skills
Proven organisation skills and ability to prioritise
High levels of integrity and confidentiality
Experience of using payroll software such as Iris Payroll and QuickBooks
