We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and passionate PE specialist. As a high quality deliverer you will be based in set primary schools for the entire year to ensure that you have an impact on the teaching and learning of young people through supporting primary staff. The role will include delivering high quality PE lessons to both KS1 and KS2. A good developmental approach will see strong lunch and after school clubs operating which will support schools achieve via competition or increased health & wellbeing benefits.
There will be a framework of lessons to work from each week, however instructors are expected to bring their experience and knowledge to set out lessons plans prior to every lesson.

Purpose of the role:
To support the localised and centrally coordinated delivery of the national PE and Sport Premium funding
Work with the Charity to develop local schools with their PE and School Sport Development
Help to improve the quality of teaching and provision of school sport locally
Contributed to the ongoing monitoring, data collection as required to fulfil the PE and Sport Premium and other funds.
Contribute to the successful delivery of Holiday Camps and other community based programmes in Sport, Health & Physical Activity
Key Relationships
Headteachers, subject leaders and other staff in the local schools
Responsible to Coaching Programme Manager
Responsible for maintaining the excellent relationships that have been built up by the Charity with stake holders in the schools consisting of Headteachers, PE Coordinators
Participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services and initiatives to provide, information, advice and expertise on programme areas.
General Responsibilities
People Management - work with work experience pupils when required, work within the internal school structure

Health and safety - have understanding of the localities working within, safety of young people at all times, the local schools' policy on safety in their schools plus any resources you may have
Risk Management - identify any risks to the service with line managers, mitigate risks through foresight and planning, minimise risk to you and young people.
Maintain safeguarding principles for all young people and report any concerns quickly and effectively in accordance with local and national structures.
Person Profile
Experience
Have experience of working in the primary education sector.
Experience of working in KS1 and/or KS2 across a range of activities in PE
Experience of working with a diverse range of young people.
Experience of working with school teachers and building and maintain relationships.
Ability to work in school facilities and using school resources to maximise young peoples enjoyment of PE and School Sport
Experience of developing plans and strategies for improving participation.
Skills and Knowledge
Awareness of planning and assessment in the PE Curriculum
Ability to provide high quality learning
Ability to conduct safe practice for young people achieving learning outcomes through various themes/areas of work
Excellent awareness of child protection & safeguarding practice
Awareness of national programmes such as School Games
Excellent awareness of planning and assessment in PE
Understanding the school day and functions of schools
Delivered in primary school setting for 3 years or more.

NGB Level 2 qualification and/or Level 3 PE & School Sport certificate/award

First Aid Training
