This is an opportunity to work in a very generalised role, gaining experience in all areas of HR. You'll be working closely with a very experienced Director of People, who is happy to support your learning and development in HR.

This role is predominantly based in our beautiful office in the Skipton countryside.

Purpose of the Role



To provide comprehensive generalist HR support across the organisation, ensuring the effective delivery of HR services and initiatives. The People Advisor will maintain and utilise HR systems to manage employee information and will be the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters. The role holder will help implement HR policies and processes, support the full employee lifecycle, and contribute to a positive employee experience, whilst ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.

Main Duties



HR Operations



Act as the first point of contact for HR queries and information for employees and managers. Ensure day-to-day HR processes are carried out efficiently and accurately.

Recruitment and Onboarding



Assist with the end-to-end recruitment process. Organise and conduct induction programmes for new starters.

HRIS Management



Manage the HRIS on a daily basis. Compile data for HR reports and metrics. Maintain personnel files and ensure secure storage.

Employee Relations



Support the Director of People in handling employee relations cases. Provide advice and assistance to line managers.

Training and Development



Co-ordinate training and development activities. Maintain training records and assist in evaluating effectiveness. Support delivery of in-house training

Policy and Compliance



Help monitor, review, and update HR policies and procedures. Educate employees and managers on policy changes. Assist in maintaining compliance with statutory requirements.

HR Projects and Initiatives



Work closely with the Director of People on HR projects. Contribute ideas and take ownership of smaller HR initiatives.

HR Metrics and Reporting



Track and analyse key HR metrics. Prepare reports or presentations for management.

Skills & Experience Required



Previous experience in a generalist HR role or HR administration. Hands-on experience using HRIS and databases. Exposure to recruitment processes. Involvement in employee relations support. Experience handling confidential information.

Qualifications



CIPD Level 3 or 5 (or working towards) or equivalent work experience Degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
