We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacy technician with an interest in digital systems to join our ePMA team.



This is an opportunity to learn more about digital systems and contribute to this change in medicines processes, alongside developing your skills and ability. The post holder needs to have a clinical background, be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and enjoy supporting staff with change.



ePMA will transform medicines processes, improving efficiency and patient safety and this role will play a large part in communicating the benefits of digital working to clinical staff in the Health Board and providing them with support.



The post holder will be part of the ePMA team, designing and implementing the new ePMA system.



During the design phase, this will involve supporting the lead technician and pharmacists with more technical processes such as configuration and testing.



During implementation the post holder will support with delivery of training and will liaise directly with staff to troubleshoot queries and optimise use of the system.



This role will support with demonstrating the impact and benefits of introducing ePMA by collecting medicines data before and during implementation.



The post holder must be able to demonstrate flexibility to meet service needs and be able to travel regularly across all Health Board sites. There may be a requirement to work shift patterns over a 7-day/24-hour period during key implementation phases.



Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties.



We have over 13,000 staff and together we provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disabilities services.

We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our valued team of volunteers.



Our services are provided in:



Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services

This role is to support implementation of the ePMA system in the Health Board. Full support to develop your digital knowledge will be provided by the friendly and enthusiastic ePMA team. This is a HB wide role, with the base location to be agreed between the successful candidate and the lead pharmacist.



This is a full time position and job share would be considered.
