Job Overview

We are seeking skilled Pipefitters and Arc Welders to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of pipe systems and the ability to work with Steel tube.

This role involves the installation of 3" to 10" steel tube, either as a welder or pipe fitter installer of the on site fabricated lengths, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Install piping systems according to specifications and schematics. Utilise stick welding techniques to join pipes and fittings securely. Operate power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and assembling pipe components. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements. Apply basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations during installations. Install lengths of steel tube with flanged ends at heights of up to 17th using cherry pickers and scissor lifts. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution.

Experience

Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. Familiarity with various welding techniques, particularly stick welding, is highly desirable. Experience working with power tools and understanding their safe operation is required. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical documents accurately.
A CSCS card is a must have, for pipe fitting applicants an IPAF licence is required.

For MMA/arc/stick welding fabrication of flanges on lengths will be at ground level.
