Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training and mentoring team members Oversee food production processes to ensure quality, consistency, and presentation standards are met Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste Develop new menu items in collaboration with management Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times Monitor food costs and optimise operational efficiency

Qualifications

Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting Supervising experience is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential if complemented by extensive experience in food production and kitchen management
