We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen. Responsibilities
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and cooking meet established quality standards
Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
Prepare a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and presentation standards
Coordinate food production activities to ensure timely service during busy periods
Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices
Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure seamless kitchen operations
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure excellent service delivery
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends
Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned regularly
Requirements
Proven experience in a culinary or kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Leadership qualities with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Experience in food production, restaurant operations, and serving is highly desirable
Good communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Formal culinary qualifications or equivalent professional training are preferred but not essential depending on experience
