We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pizza Chef with a deep understanding of Neapolitan-style dough preparation and proven expertise in managing a wood-fired oven. The ideal candidate is passionate about high-quality ingredients, fermentation techniques, and the precision required to craft consistently excellent pizzas in a fast-paced kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and manage Neapolitan-style dough using traditional methods, including long fermentation processes.
Operate and maintain a wood-fired oven, ensuring proper temperature control and cooking consistency.
Stretch, top, and cook pizzas to a high standard of quality and presentation.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza station and prep areas.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering ingredients and supplies.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak hours.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a pizza chef specializing in Neapolitan-style pizzas.
Strong knowledge of dough hydration, fermentation, and shaping techniques.
Proficient in managing a traditional wood-fired oven.
Ability to work quickly and cleanly in a high-pressure environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to consistency and quality.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Culinary certification or formal training in pizza or Italian cuisine.
Experience in high-volume pizzerias or restaurants with an artisanal focus.
