Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals in accordance with the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in the planning of menus, taking into consideration seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure all food preparation is conducted in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive working environment. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to continually enhance menu offerings.

Skills

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting. Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices. Excellent cooking skills with the ability to create diverse dishes. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to continuously improve skills.
