We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a keen understanding of culinary techniques and food safety practices. As a Chef, you will play a pivotal role in creating delicious meals that delight our guests while maintaining the highest standards of quality and hygiene in the kitchen.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary trends. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service during busy periods. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations. Participate in regular team meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and overall kitchen performance.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in a restaurant or similar culinary environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary methods, and food safety practices. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences for guests. Culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
