Duties

- Assist in meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as per recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations during all aspects of food preparation and handling.
- Support the head chef and kitchen staff in catering events and special functions as required.
- Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages or issues.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.

Skills

- Previous experience in a kitchen environment is preferred, with a solid understanding of culinary techniques.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
