Junior Pizza Chef

Reports to:

Senior Pizza Chef & Assistant Executive Chef

Position Overview & Job Purpose:

As a Junior Pizza Chef, your role will be to work cohesively with staff and be responsible for day-to-day tasks under the guidance of the Senior Pizza Chef and Assistant Executive Chef. This will include kitchen cleanliness, food preparation, and service, and ensuring that the Company's key goals are maintained. You will be given tasks by your line manager to complete efficiently throughout the day.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work under the Senior Pizza Chef to ensure a smooth running of the pizza section, working in partnership alongside our front of house and kitchen teams. Manage our pizza dough production, ensuring that the Senior Pizza Chef is aware of stock levels to keep wastage to a minimum. Work cohesively within the Bakery team, consistently adhering to company standards and specifications. Communicate any shortages of ingredients to your line manager. Load deliveries of ingredients into the correct department, ensuring organisation is upheld. Cook our pizza menu to order and ensure prep is always completed to a high quality. Maintain excellent levels of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene. Complete daily and weekly cleaning check sheets to a high standard.

Job Related Skills, Knowledge, Personal Attributes & Skills Required:

Good understanding of the principles of food hygiene and health and safety. Well organised and effective at delegating where necessary. Ability to work efficiently both on your own initiative and as part of a team. A positive role model with a friendly and confident demeanour. Quality-focused with great attention to detail. Responsible and reliable in all areas of work. An effective trouble-shooter with the ability to resolve problems promptly.

Please note we apply a 18-21 pay bracket starting at 10.50 per hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
