Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team at the South West Pizza Co, on Topsham Quay. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food lead businesses, strong with cooking & preparation of food, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to food safety standards. This role involves creating delicious Sourdough Pizzas, using Good Game Charcuterie, Local Produce and Seasonal Produce. Ensuring high-quality presentation and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas and ingredients, according to the menu specifications Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices Provide exceptional service during meal service, ensuring guest satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation in a timely manner Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations Previous kitchen experience is essential; culinary qualifications are preferred Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes and following GP targets

Pay: 12.21-14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 40 per week
