Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of food preparation and cooking within the kitchen.
Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards.
Manage kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed to enhance their culinary skills.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service and customer satisfaction.
Assist in the planning of special events or catering services as required.
Skills
Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment.
Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety practices.
Excellent cooking skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
