Planning Manager - Telecoms

Warrington or Edinburgh

An opportunity has arisen for a Planning Manager to join the Telecoms team at Galliford Try.

Ideally, you will based in or around the Warrington or Edinburgh area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the UK.

Our Planning Manager maintains line management responsibility for people matters and the delivery of our planning function across all project workstreams and to the requirements set out by the Acquisition & Estates Director. In a managerial role you will ensure that all project targets are met whilst investing in the wellbeing and development requirements of internal staff, maximising profitability and the strategic needs of Galliford Try Telecoms

You will work within our Telecoms Business, who are a leading multi-disciplined organisation capable of carrying out all aspects of the infrastructure build for the mobile and fixed line telecommunications industry.

What you will be doing:

  • Manage internal and sub-contract resource to deliver industry leading results in relation to all planning matters associated with telecommunication development
  • Define and monitor planning targets for both internal and external consultants
  • Quality assurance in relation to planning documentation
  • Ownership of monthly and quarterly forecasting for all planning matters and services ensuring that SLA / KPI\'s and PI\'s are monitored and achieved
  • Provide accurate reporting both internally and externally and attend meetings as required
  • Inspire colleagues, mentor and encourage the development of junior staff to gain chartered status
  • Deliver process improvements and efficiencies
  • Responsible for key account management of client planning stakeholders

  • Chartered Member of the RTPI (desirable)
  • Prince2 or equivalent project management qualification (Desirable)
  • Expert in Town and Country Planning Matters
  • Knowledge, understanding and application of Property/Planning law in relation to telecommunications development
