As a Planning Policy Monitoring Technician, you'll play a critical role in collecting, analysing, and reporting data to support the development and implementation of the district's planning policies. From housing delivery and land use tracking to policy impact assessments, your work will help ensure planning decisions in the Cotswolds are guided by evidence and aligned with strategic goals.
What You'll Do
Monitor and update planning policy indicators, including housing, employment land,
Collect and analyse monitoring data and assist in the production of key publications such as the Authority Monitoring Report
Conduct site visits to a record housing and employment land supply
Support consultations and public engagement with accurate and accessible data
Support evidence gathering for policy development
Support more senior officers in the development of the Plan.
You will need
Strong numeracy and literacy
Knowledge and understanding of the current issues affecting planning - especially in relation to strategic planning.
Proficiency in Word and Excel
Awareness of GIS (training provided)
Ability to work to tight deadlines and maintain accurate records
Special Conditions
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes
