What you\'ll do:

As a Plant Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our facility operates efficiently and effectively, while upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance, and people management. Your responsibilities will include aligning and motivating our operations team to achieve our business unit\'s vision in the short, medium, and long term. Additionally, you will spearhead the development of a culture rooted in continuous improvement, driving our plant towards greater success. Key Responsibilities Include\xe2\x80\xa6

Responsible for all HR issues within the team including recruitment, development, communication and discipline ensuring all actions taken are in accordance with Company procedures.

Daily management of the short-term operational performance of the plant. Mentoring the senior management teams to deliver on the expectations of the plant in line with the BU vision, expectations of customers and the plant values and priorities.

Develop and maintain the plant operating and capex budgets ensuring the costs are understood and managed and highlight any potential issues to allow careful financial performance management at the BU level.

Responsible for ensuring the professional management of the manufacturing, warehouse, engineering, EHS and Quality and CI departments.

Ensure all necessary plant reporting is completed in a timely and accurate manner, including all statutory reporting and as well as divisional and BU needs on a weekly, monthly, annually and adhoc needs.

Develop the plant organisation, in conjunction with the operations team, to ensure that suitable career succession is in place for all levels of the organisation and that suitable resource contingencies exist.

Skills and Experience\xe2\x80\xa6

  • Experience in leading and developing large teams (
50 people) at a senior management level in manufacturing enviroment * A degree level qualification perferably in either Management, Science or Enginerring discipline.
  • Experience of leading a culture of continous improvement
  • Experience of working in a process-based manufactuing industry
  • Financial management of Capex and operating budgets and understanding of a P&L and Balance sheet.
  • You will be able to work on your own initiative and have the ability to manage multiple projects
It would be an advantage, but is not essential, if you also have:
  • MBA
  • Chartered Institue of Management
  • Chartered in a Engineering or Scienece institute.
