To support our growing operations, we are looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team.

The Role

As a Plant Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a range of construction and heavy-duty equipment. Your expertise will ensure our machines operate at peak performance, minimizing downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Repair and Maintenance

: Diagnose, service, and repair plant equipment, including diggers, dumpers, woodchippers, concrete crushers, skip loaders, and hydraulic tracked trenchers.

Inspections

: Conduct routine inspections to identify faults and ensure compliance with safety standards.

Hydraulics and Electrical Work

: Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and electrical systems as required.

Preventative Maintenance

: Perform scheduled maintenance to reduce the risk of breakdowns.

Documentation

: Accurately maintain records of all repairs, services, and inspections carried out.

Customer Support

: Provide technical advice and guidance to customers on equipment usage and maintenance.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Plant Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of construction and heavy plant equipment. Proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. NVQ Level 2/3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (preferred but not essential). A valid UK driving license (essential). Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: 38,000.00-44,000.00 per year
