We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team at our award setting. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment. As a Play Worker, you will support children's development through play, ensuring their wellbeing and fostering their social skills. This role is essential in providing high-quality childcare in a nurturing setting.
Duties
MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE, business use insurance, MOT and tax.
Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring safety and enjoyment.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative approach to childcare.
Manage behaviour in a positive manner, using appropriate techniques to encourage cooperation and respect among children.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of play areas, ensuring resources are available and accessible.
Support children with special needs or additional requirements as necessary.
Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected.
Qualifications
Previous experience in childcare or working with children is highly desirable.
A background in Early Childhood Education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
Current DBS on update service, Paediatric First Aid and Food hygiene advantageous.
Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with children and parents.
Leadership qualities to guide activities and manage groups of children effectively.
Ability to drive may be beneficial for transporting children if required.
A genuine passion for nurturing children's development through play-based learning.
Knowledge of nursery practices and child development principles is preferred.
