Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess the ability to communicate effectively with both children and adults. This role is crucial in supporting the daily operations of our nursery and ensuring a nurturing environment for all children.

We are seeking a professional person to join us, the position will be 3 days, this will be discussed, but will include Mondays,,Tuesdays and Wednesdays you will also need to be avaliable to include covering staff sickness, meetings, courses etc.

Times are 08:00 - 15:00

Start date is immediately

Duties

Assist in the planning and implementation of educational activities for children. Support the lead educator in managing classroom dynamics and ensuring a safe environment. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs. Help maintain cleanliness and organisation within the nursery setting. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social, emotional, and cognitive development. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.

Requirements

Experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous. Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities when managing small groups of children. To hold a level 3 qualification in childcare is a must. A genuine passion for nurturing children's growth and development. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
