Ruthvenfield Depot is the Contractual base, however, the successful post holder will be considered a mobile worker and start their working day from their home address.
At Perth & Kinross Council our plumbers ensure our housing stock is maintained, and all plumbing installations are safe, compliant and working efficiently for our tenants.
Working 36 hours each week, 8am -16:30 Monday to Thursday and 8am -13:00 on Fridays, your work will include:
Planned plumbing maintenance
Day to day emergency and responsive repairs
Preparation of vacant properties for relet.
Our Housing Repairs Service operates an out of hours emergency repairs service 24 hours / 365 days per year. You would be expected to participate in this rota approximately one week in every seven weeks.
You'll work in our team of plumbers and other trades staff travelling throughout the stunning Perth and Kinross area in one of our fleet vehicles so will be required to hold a valid driving licence.
As a fully qualified plumber, you'll will be encouraged and supported to gain further qualifications such as Advanced Plumber status.
