We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Post Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our in-store branch. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative and organisational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers alike. This role is essential in ensuring our Post Office runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting both staff and management in achieving objectives.
Duties:
Full ownership of the branch performance
Manage day to day branch operations, ensuring a productive and effective working environment
Supervise all Branch staff, fostering a collaborative team atmosphere
Managing and reducing risk at the branch
Maintaining tight control over cash handling and balancing processes
Fully accountable for team conduct, accuracy and compliance
Handle human resources functions, including on-boarding new employees and maintaining personnel records
Organise team meetings, prepare agendas and record minutes as required
Develop and implement office policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
Assist in project management tasks as needed, coordinating with various departments within our very busy petrol station.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in managing a Post Office or similar administrative role
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience in supervising teams and managing personnel is preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail
