Join Our Chambers as a Practice Assistant
We are seeking a proactive, organised and enthusiastic Practice Assistant to join our busy clerking team in Birmingham. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to begin or develop a career in the legal or professional services sector.
As Practice Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of Chambers, providing key administrative and front-of-house support to ensure excellent service delivery for our barristers, clients and visitors.
What You'll Be Doing:
Supporting the clerking team with diary management, travel bookings, and meeting coordination.
Assisting with front-of-house duties and helping to organise events, conferences and seminars.
Responding to client enquiries and delivering a high standard of customer service.
Supporting compliance administration and billing processes.
Helping maintain records and internal databases.
Working closely with barristers and clerks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What We're Looking For:
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office and general office systems.
A team player with a positive and flexible approach.
Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Requirements:
A-Levels or equivalent (essential)
Degree or administrative qualification (desirable)
Previous experience in administration or customer service (desirable)
Experience in legal or professional services and/or event coordination (desirable)
