Full time hours over 5 days 8.30am - 3.15pm



(hour may increase/decrease dependant on Pre School needs) - Permanent



Term time only - 38 weeks worked per year



Grade 5 point 7



Plus a daily 30 minute unpaid break

Slinfold Pre School is a vibrant Pre School on a journey of excellence. We provided education for the children of Slinfold Village and surrounding area. The school is located a short drive from Horsham and Billingshurst.


Slinfold is a small, inclusive school with strong links to St Peter's Church at the heart of our rural village community. Purpose of the post



To work as part of the pre-school management team to provide safe, high quality early years education and care for young children ensuring compliance with the Childcare act 2006, all health and safety legislation, the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and requirements laid down by the Government and Ofsted.*


To inspire and lead our small team of staff to deliver high quality inclusive early years education and care in line with school's policies and procedures*


To be a role model for the wider staff team, modelling sensitive and responsive interactions with our children so that they are able to flourish*


To work under the direction of the Pre-school manager and Senior Leadership Team of Slinfold CE Primary School and Pre-school.*


To adhere to pre-school policies and procedures and ensure that children's safety at all times. Ensure that policies are implements together with legal and statutory requirements.*
Agreeing key priorities with the Pre-School manager so that the team can be effectively inspired and achieve to the best of their ability.*
To work as a keyworker with groups of children as directed and provide supervision for the wider group.*


To maintain high levels of training in line with the settings requirements*


Liaise with parents/carers and outside agencies as required*
Work within agreed deadlines to ensure that events processes and procedures are successfully completed*

Working with or caring for young people with various additional needs within a Pre School based environment.




KNOWLEDGE AND




SKILLS




QUALIFICATIONS






To take on full responsibility in the absence of the Pre School Lead.



Experience of the EYFS and record keeping.



Ability to relate well to young people and adults.



Work constructively as part of a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.



Working in partnership with staff to implement and model advice and recommendation.



To be able to use initiative in and outside of the classroom.



Basic understanding of child development and learning.



Understanding relevant policies/codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation, including safeguarding.





Level 3 Childcare qualification



At least GCSE Maths and English or equivalent qualifications A to C grade




Experience of working in a range of settings to support young people with SEND needs and deliver model recommendations and strategies



Experience of working with young people who require support with their emotional and behavioural regulation.
