About this Role

We are seeking a passionate and committed Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our department from January 2026 on a part-time, temporary contract until July 2026. This fixed-term position is to provide support for the remainder of the 2025/26 academic year. The teaching commitment is spread across 3.5 days a week, with the exact timetable subject to confirmation.


The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality language lessons, fostering pupil progress, and contributing actively to the work of the department. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess student learning effectively, and take part in the wider life of the school, including pastoral duties and extra-curricular activities. Strong subject knowledge in Spanish and French, along with a commitment to inclusive and inspiring teaching, is essential.

The School has its own salary scale, which is above the national scale and fee remission is available for children of teaching staff in all the Harpur Trust Schools in Bedford.
