Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Bank Staff member to join our team. Individuals with a level 2 or higher in Early Years childcare and education only please!

The preschool is open to children from 8.30am to 2.30pm. Your hours of work would vary between 7.45am to 3pm Monday to Friday, term time only.

You will be responsible for working as part of the team to create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can learn and grow. Your role will involve planning and implementing age-appropriate activities, fostering social and emotional development, and promoting a love for learning and supporting children with SEN and those learning English.

Responsibilities

-Develop and implement adult supported activities that align with our preschool curriculum

- Create a safe and inclusive preschool environment

- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities

- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills

- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure the well-being of each child

- Supporting staff and children on weekly outings for the children to venture out into the community.

- Working as part of the team in early identification of special educational needs.

Experience

- Level 2 or higher in Early Years education only.

- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is preferred

- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children

- SEND experience would be beneficial
