Job Description

Monday-Friday shifts between 8-6.

You must be enthusiastic about working with pre-school aged children.

You will need to show that you are caring, excited about working with children, eager to learn, hardworking and can work as a team.

The days are very fast paced, full of activities, meal times and hygiene routines such as toileting training. You will need to be thinking what's next in the routine.

We are looking for a nursery assistant to join The house that Jack built team in the 3-5 room. There are already 2 very strong and friendly staff members in this room.

We are in an old stables building which has been carefully designed for the children.

At the nursery we are a strong believer that everyone should enjoy going to work. We all work hard but have fun while we're here. We plan and do lots of fun, engaging and stimulating activities with the children.

We upload all of our activities, observations and the children's daily routines onto the Family app which is quick and effective.

Our pre-school room can take up to 16 children and there are 3 members of staff currently working in there.

We're a small (42 place) friendly day nursery.
The person we are looking for has a genuine passion for Early Years childcare.

We do lots of fun and stimulating activities at nursery.

You would work alongside the team ensuring that all of the children's care and safeguarding needs are met, the nursery policies and procedures are implemented.

At the house that Jack built nursery we have three play room-

The little Dreamers room where the babies are from 6months- 2 years old.

The Little Makers room where the toddlers are 2-3 years of age.

The little Storytellers room where the pre-schoolers are aged between 3-5 years of age.

We have two nursery gardens and and large playing field onsite.

All nursery staff are able to eat with the children at lunch time to encourage the children to eat.

Everyone gets a hour lunch break and works a 40 hour week.

Our nursery is designed to promote and support independence for the children.

We see our children and parents as part of our family.
