Job Description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic PE & Sport Specialist to join our experienced team on a part time basis until the end of the school year with the potential to go full time in September. You will be expected to work at Primary Schools across Merseyside delivering Curriculum PE lessons and After school clubs. As part of your self-employed role you will be required to:

Plan and deliver all aspects of Physical Education in line with the National Curriculum to a high standard

Be responsible for promoting sport and exercise around the school

Deliver extracurricular clubs after school, during dinner times and on occasions before school.

Train and prepare teams for entering competitions

Run inter school competitions

Use initiative and be proactive during and around PE delivery times

As a Primary PE & Sport Specialist in school(s) you should be:

Passionate about teaching children

Enthusiastic when encouraging children to lead healthy active lifestyles

Able to inspire children to want to play sport and take part in physical activities in and outside of school

Organised, punctual with excellent time keeping abilities

Able to implement effective positive behaviour management strategies

Professional

Reliable

In addition to these personal and professional skills you should have:

A clear DBS

A sport related degree and/or numerous coaching NGB Awards (backed with experience)

NGB awards in a number of sports

Experience working with primary aged children including those with Special Educational Needs (References and examples to support this)

Relevant First Aid Training

Education:

Various National Governing Body awards

Bachelor's Degree and/or PGCE (preferred)

Initial Working Hours:

Tuesday & Wednesday

10.30-16.00

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Freelance

Pay: 15.00-25.00 per hour
