About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Print Room Team Leader
to lead and oversee daily operations in our garment printing department. You will be responsible for managing production workflows using
DTF (Direct to Film)
,
Heat Transfer
, and
DTG (Direct to Garment)
printing technologies.
This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and leadership capability. The ideal candidate will take pride in producing high-quality work and ensuring the smooth running of the print room from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all daily operations in the print room, ensuring timely and high-quality output
Operate and maintain DTF, DTG, and Heat Transfer printing equipment
Lead and support a small production team, delegating tasks and ensuring productivity
Quality check garments at all stages of production
Manage stock of print consumables and liaise with purchasing when required
Monitor and improve workflow efficiency
Train new team members in printing techniques and machine operation
Ensure health and safety protocols are followed at all times
Troubleshoot and resolve print/machine issues with minimal downtime
Collaborate with other departments (e.g. design, dispatch) to ensure smooth order flow
Requirements
Previous experience working with DTF, DTG, and Heat Transfer printing
Strong understanding of garment decoration techniques and file preparation
Confident in managing and motivating a small team
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Organised, reliable, and able to work to deadlines
Willingness to be hands-on and adaptable within a fast-paced environment
