Wollens is seeking an experienced and motivated Private Client Paralegal to join our Care and Capacity Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable clients and making a real difference in their lives. You will be working in a collaborative environment, providing high-quality legal advice and representation in matters relating to care, capacity, and the Court of Protection. The role would be based in our Torquay office.

As a Paralegal in the Care and Capacity Team, you will support solicitors and fee earners in handling a variety of cases relating to community care issues, mental capacity, and Court of Protection work. The role will involve assisting the lawyers to prepare legal documents, liaising with clients and professionals, attending meetings, and assisting with case management. You will play a vital part in ensuring vulnerable individuals receive the highest standard of legal representation.
Key Responsibilities
Drafting correspondence and legal documentation
Maintaining files and keeping accurate records
Supporting solicitors with case preparation
Communicating with clients, experts, and the courts
Conducting legal research
Attending client meetings and hearings as required
About You
Ideally educated to degree level or with relevant legal qualifications
Previous experience of this work in a legal setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
Empathy and discretion when dealing with sensitive matters
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
