Job Summary

We are seeking a caring and responsible Babysitter/Nanny to provide attentive childcare and support for families. The ideal candidate will be passionate about child development, reliable, and able to create a safe, engaging environment for children of various ages. This role offers an opportunity to develop meaningful relationships while ensuring the well-being and happiness of the children in your care. Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills such as French considered a valuable asset.

Responsibilities

Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development Prepare meals and snacks suitable for children's dietary needs Assist with homework, reading, and educational activities, including teaching basic skills where appropriate Ensure children's safety at all times, both indoors and outdoors Organise playdates, outings, and recreational activities to encourage socialisation and physical activity Maintain a clean and organised environment in the child's living space Drive children to school, appointments, or extracurricular activities as required Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily routines, behaviour, and any concerns

Skills

Proven experience in childcare or nannying roles Driving licence with a clean driving record is preferred for transporting children safely Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively Teaching abilities to support educational development and behavioural guidance Fluency in English; proficiency in French is advantageous for bilingual environments Compassionate, patient, and attentive nature with excellent communication skills Ability to adapt to different children's needs and create a nurturing environment
