We are looking for a caring and reliable private nanny to support our family with our new baby, who will be 3 months old at the start of the role. This is a fixed part-time position until our baby can be offered a place at a local nursery. Due to a waiting list, we anticipate this will be required for several months.
About the Role
Care will take place primarily in our home in Sawbridgeworth and also at the workplace in Ware. Mum works in Ware, and dad finishes at 4pm and will collect baby from the workplace on relevant days. The nanny must be comfortable providing care both at home and in a professional office setting.
Work Schedule (20-25 hours per week)
Mondays:
Care in the office (Ware)
Tuesdays:
Care in the office (Ware)
Wednesdays:
Morning start at home in Sawbridgeworth, then travel with mum and baby to the office in Ware
Thursdays:
Care in the office (Ware)
Flexibility for occasional additional hours would be appreciated (with notice).
Baby's Routine
Baby will be on expressed milk and breastfeeding.
While mum is working, baby will need caring attention, soothing, feeding expressed milk, nappy changes, and general baby care.
Baby is usually settled and enjoys walks in the pram around Ware.
Responsibilities
Caring for baby with warmth, patience, and attentiveness
Bottle-feeding expressed milk and supporting baby's routine
Taking baby for walks in the pram
Helping settle baby for naps
Light baby-related tidying (bottles, changing area, pram prep, etc.)
Travelling with mum and baby from Sawbridgeworth to Ware on Wednesday mornings
Being comfortable providing care in a workplace setting
Requirements
Experience with babies (or willingness to learn and take guidance)
DBS checked (or willingness to obtain)
Paediatric First Aid trained (or willingness to refresh/complete)
Confident driver with own vehicle
Calm, nurturing, reliable, and comfortable working in a quiet office environment
Comfortable caring for baby across two locations
