Role Overview



We're looking for a

Procurement & Operations Coordinator

to join our team and help keep things running seamlessly. In this role, you'll be central to supporting day-to-day operations--managing purchasing activities, maintaining accurate records, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring our administrative processes are efficient and well-organised.

You'll take ownership of stock control, coordinate procurement tasks, and help us maintain the high standards our customers rely on. Key Responsibilities



Oversee procurement and purchasing processes, including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers. Place purchase orders and process delivery notes using Microsoft Business Central. (training provided - it's simple and intuitive to use). Manage stock levels and inventory control, ensuring materials and supplies are available as required. Carry out inventory checks and stock counts within the factory. Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to purchasing, deliveries, and stock usage. Collect, organise, and scan paperwork for purchasing and stock records. Support general office administration, including data entry, filing, document preparation, and maintaining company databases. Handle emails and correspondence in a professional manner. Support the stock function with ad-hoc requirements, such as purchasing stationery and consumables. Assist with internal reporting, record keeping, and other administrative projects as needed. Collaborate with team leaders, shop floor staff, and other departments to understand requirements and support smooth business operations. Undertake any administrative tasks commensurate with the responsibilities, scope, and salary of the role.

Skills & Requirements



Essential:



Minimum of

2 years' administrative experience

, including confident use of IT systems such as

Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Minimum

NAT5

(or equivalent) in

Mathematics

. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong

organisational skills

with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proactive, flexible, and willing to support wider business needs.
Confident working with operational teams and visiting the shop floor to check stock or confirm requirements.

Desirable:

Location

: Clayton Glass, 6 James Street, Righead Industrial Estate, Bellshill, ML4 3LU

Working Hours

: Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 8.30am - 4.00pm (start and finish times negotiable)

39 hours per week



Salary: 12.21 per hour
