Based at our Norwich production premises you will play a key role in coordinating the production workflow, ensuring that producing is completed on time within our printing and binding departments.

37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, on the following alternating shift pattern
Early Shift:
05:15 - 13:15 hrs Monday to Thursday (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
05:15 - 12:15 hrs Friday
Late Shift:
13:15 - 21:45 hrs Monday to Thursday (includes a 30-minute unpaid break)
12:00 - 17:00 hrs Friday
Role Overview:
The role will be predominately shopfloor based, with a variety of duties as detailed below:
Ensuring all delivery deadlines are met.
Maintaining efficient workflow by directing work to the appropriate areas as capacity becomes available.
Keeping the factory environment safe, clean, and tidy at all times.
Assisting on machinery when required by business needs.
Organising running sheets, proofs, and associated documentation.
Managing bin changes and delegating this task where appropriate.
Ensuring all available plates are allocated to the correct press.
Monitoring and maintaining stock levels for laminates, boxes, and wiro materials to ensure adequate supply.
Storing inks and other consumables appropriately upon delivery.
Ensuring exam advance work meets all required delivery dates.
Checking customer copies and reviewing work returned from outworkers for accuracy and quality.
Ensuring paper is staged at each press and ready for upcoming jobs.
Reporting any issues or delays to management promptly.
Supporting the coordination of workloads during peak periods.
Ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures.
Liaising with press operators and other departments to maintain workflow efficiency.
Verifying that all materials for upcoming jobs are prepared and available.
Assisting with stock rotation to ensure materials are used in the correct sequence (e.g., FIFO).
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
You will be able to work methodically and have excellent problem-solving skills. You will be motivated and have a good working relationship with all personnel within the production department.
Role Purpose 2 - Housekeeping
Assist your colleagues during quieter times to improve the appearance of the factory and ensure a professional environment is created and maintained.
Role Purpose 3 - Quality & Standards
Identify and report quality concerns, seeking advice and guidance from your line managers and other operators to troubleshoot problems to avoid spoilages and create the best possible product for our clients.
Seek constant improvement and apply best practice to all aspects of your role, attending and fully participating in training if required. Abide by and support the company's ISO 9001 Quality Certificate.
Role Purpose 4 - Team Working & Flexibility
Assist your colleagues as directed by your line manager to meet manufacturing deadlines.

Comply with all health and safety rules, policies and procedures, including any specific named responsibilities detailed within the H&S Handbook/Policy.
Environmental
Abide by and support the company's ISO 14001 environment certificate. Ensure the secure disposal of wastepaper in line with company policy and procedures.

General
Adhere to Page Bros procedures and policies as detailed in your Staff Handbook and associated Terms and Conditions. Ensure that all activities for which you are responsible are completed to a high standard.
Attend team meetings and One to Ones as requested by your line manager. Take active responsibility for personal and professional growth and development within the role. This will include the identification of training and other developmental opportunities at regular review meetings and through ongoing dialogue with your line manager.
