Job Title:

Production & Dispatch Operative

Job Location:

Quarley, Andover

Salary:

30,000 per annum plus bonus scheme based on company performance.

Holiday:

22 days paid holiday, exclusive of bank holidays

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable individual to join our growing family business as an order packing team member. This role will involve; a) coiling a range of different types of pipe to custom lengths and picking correct fittings, and b) entering the consignments onto the transport portal, ensuring our reputation for fast turnaround is maintained. The ideal candidate will thrive in a hands-on operational environment and take responsibility for their area of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Coiling and Packing (Operations Role):

Coil pipe and pack fittings with attention to detail, ensuring accurate product selection and minimising the risk of damage. Handle materials carefully during the coiling process to maintain product integrity. Follow product and process training to complete tasks efficiently and accurately. Monitor stock levels and report any discrepancies or issues related to inventory or products. Entering the completed consignments onto the relevant transport portal, ensuring timely delivery to customers.

Key Skills & Attributes:

Strong attention to detail to avoid errors in coiling and packing processes. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a dynamic, evolving role. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to prioritise tasks as needed to ensure timely delivery to site for our customers. A proactive attitude, with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative. Some knowledge of the plumbing and heating industry would be an advantage, but not essential. Forklift Licence

Requirements:

No previous experience in operations or packing required; full product and process training will be provided, experience in a practical or warehouse environment is a plus. A practical mindset and a degree of physical fitness required to ensure ability to safely complete the coiling process. A strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision. A positive, customer-focused attitude. Honesty and transparency.

Probation Period:

A 6-month probation period will apply to ensure a successful fit within the role and the business.

Working Hours: 7:30am to 5pm Monday - Friday.

Coiling and packing tasks are variable in terms of daily workload. Overtime / weekend work may be offered in busy periods.
