Team member needed for condiment start-up based in Chatham.

We're Condimaniac - a small business that manufactures over 30 types of condiments here in Medway. Other than produce everything we sell, we also run our own social media as well as our website. We've been lucky to have grown significantly recently so we now need some help.

What you'll be doing:

Manage the making of award-winning condiments like ketchup, hot sauce, seasoning and pickles Instruct the team (currently 2 others in the kitchen plus founders) on best practice and maintain standards Streamline production processes Be hands on in the kitchen producing yourself (We like to lead by example). Creating the production schedule Logging and tracing batches Giving feedback on new products Cleaning and washing up where necessary Anything else that might come up - organising the kitchen, building things, machinery maintenance etc. (We're a small business so we all pitch in!)
This isn't an entry level position so we'll need you to have a bit of experience. Ideally, you'd teach us a thing or two!

So the non-negotiables are:

Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or in a similar role within the food industry Strong knowledge of HACCP principles and food safety regulations Experience in food production specifically in a manufacturing setting (We're not a restaurant, we'd like someone from manufacturing) A nice person that can interact well with other humans without being a d%k

Then the nice to haves:

Specific experience with condiment manufacturing Level 4 Food Safety Allergen management experience Experience with production planning software / batch tracing systems
