PRL Logistics is expanding with a brand-new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Wheatley, Doncaster. We're building an integrated production operation focused on high-quality joinery, metalwork, powder coating, and final assembly -- delivering fast-paced retail programmes and fit-out solutions for leading UK brands.

We're seeking an experienced

Production Manager

to take full ownership of the site's end-to-end production. If you have a proven track record running high-output manufacturing environments with metalwork, powder coating, joinery, and assembly -- especially under tight retail deadlines -- this is your opportunity to lead and shape a new operation from the ground up.

What You'll Do

Lead day-to-day production operations across joinery, metal fabrication, powder coating, and final multi-material assembly Manage fast-turnaround retail metalwork processes with frequent changeovers and short lead times Own production planning and scheduling using MRP/ERP systems to meet aggressive delivery programmes Optimise labour allocation, machine utilisation, and material flow to maximise throughput and efficiency Control stock levels, material supply chain, and supplier lead times to prevent bottlenecks Ensure powder coating quality, line throughput, colour consistency, and schedule adherence Drive lean and efficient assembly workflows for complex, mixed-material retail products Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors, team leaders, and shop-floor production teams Maintain the highest standards of health & safety, quality control, and on-time delivery performance

What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a

Production Manager

(or similar senior role) in a manufacturing environment Strong hands-on background in

metalwork

,

powder coating

,

joinery/cabinetry

, and

final assembly

operations Track record managing

fast-paced retail production

or short lead-time / high-changeover environments Confident user of

MRP systems

, production planning software, and capacity planning tools Hands-on leadership style with a real understanding of factory constraints, problem-solving, and continuous improvement Excellent people management skills -- able to lead teams in a high-output, deadline-driven setting Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
