Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee manufacturing operations within our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production processes, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

Oversee daily production activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Coordinate with various departments to optimise supply chain operations and minimise downtime. Implement and monitor process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste. Utilise ERP systems like SAP to plan, track, and report on production metrics. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analysing workflows and introducing best practices. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all manufacturing sites. Manage inventory levels and oversee procurement processes in collaboration with supply chain teams. Supervise maintenance schedules for machinery, ensuring mechanical knowledge is applied for troubleshooting when necessary. Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain product standards. Support assembly line operations by providing technical guidance and process optimisation.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a production management role within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of SAP, ERP systems, and supply chain management principles. Demonstrable expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Experience in quality control procedures and implementing continuous improvement strategies. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities efficiently. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across departments. Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing technology or related fields are desirable but not essential.
